Message	If it were low, it'd make sense that the noise is only under load. Someone more knowledgeable could comment on how gear oil may break down over time and that being the culprit. Other than the horrible smell, it's easy enough to change out. I just refilled my tranny with Royal Purple, but cheaped out for the differential and went with Mobil 1.
